NEW | Let’s Polyphony! Youtube Channel has been launched!

This is a channel where Asuka will explore the repertoires written for non-clarinet, arrange them into clarinet ensembles, and play them by herself!

The prime point of this project did not start recently. Her musical background of playing the piano at an early age always made her want to arrange music by ear, from pop songs to classical music. Once she heard the symphony, she had to try on the keys, and that was such a fun activity for her.

Later on, she decided to pursue her career as a clarinetist, but she never forgot and always kept in her mind about harmonies and melodic relationships that create music so special. As a clarinetist, she can only produce one note at a time (well, except for the multiphonics, but you know what it means) and is always curious about the repertoire that can create polyphony by itself. Piano repertoires are great examples. Since she is also a pianist, the two ideas of arranging piano pieces into clarinets and playing them connected.

Now, in her Youtube Channel, she will explore the Bach’s fifteen Sinfonias, as well as The Well-Tempered Clavier, and more to come!

Please check her channel, subscribe and take a listen!

She will upload videos every Saturdays.
